The Chosen One is HERE!!!!
Thank you notIACA community for continuing to support our cause! We welcome our 500th supporter to the fight against the IACA leadership! We are well on our way to 7,200!
We don't divulge PII because we want to protect our members from the IACA's wrath, but we can say our newest member is a humanoid from the flattest part of the United States. This member (they/their) has been involved with the IACA for a few years and they have witnessed many of the toxic behaviors by the IACA leadership that we have documented here.
Joining notIACA is super easy! Just shoot us an email and (1) let us know how the IACA leadership has victimized you or a loved one, and (2) recite our notIACA pledge: "Don't let the clowns win". You should also memorize our secret sign of solidarity:

Congratulations to the IACA for their stunning and unchallenged victory in the 2025 "World's Ugliest Challenge Coin" competition. It is truly remarkable that they have managed to condense every single design flaw into one little disc.
The artists responsible clearly spent hours ensuring maximum illegibility, boldly layering half a dozen key phrases atop a faint, speckled world map - a background choice that manages to be both completely generic and utterly distracting. The result is visual static, a masterful commitment to ensuring that no piece of information, from the association name to the tiny, scattered keywords, is successfully communicated. The finish of this coin perfectly mimics the texture and luster of metallic oatmeal. The crowning glory is the floating logomark, which is completely out of it's design context and contributes absolutely nothing to the theme. The profound sense of arbitrary visual clutter is inescapable.
This coin is an atrocious keepsake and a spectacular example of what happens when every known principle of hierarchy, spacing, and color theory is thrown into a shredder. Good luck getting anyone to accept this without an accompanying apology.
notIACA is absurd. It is ridiculous and petty and over-the-top. It is an exaggerated version of reality, but still reality. There is an underlying truth in every image, meme, and piece of text on this site. This website is dedicated to holding up a mirror to the International Association of Crime Analysts' leadership. notIACA exists to provide a sharp and necessary critique of the IACA's unacceptable practices, institutional incompetence and chronic unwillingness to take any meaningful corrective action. So browse our content, listen to our tunes, laugh at our memes & images, and share your stories if you want. This is a safe space where you can exist free from the wrath of the IACA leadership. No ethics investigations, marginalizing, or bullshit gag orders here. Our committees won't make you sign loyalty oaths like some associations.
Members have tried for years to be nice and ask politely for change. Nothing happened. In fact, the leadership has doubled down and gaslit members, insisting there either were no problems, no "big" problems, or insisting YOU are the problem. They continue to make this argument today, so we are trying a different tactic. Now we are going to be assholes. We will air the association's dirty laundry. It's a race to the bottom at this point, but if this is what it takes to raise awareness and generate the change we are seeking, then we are willing to sacrifice a little dignity in exchange for a truly professional association.
Until then, this site will continue to mock, ridicule, expose, offend and criticize the extensive shortcomings of the IACA leadership until the substantive actions we seek are put in place. It would be great if every board member voluntarily resigned and issued a letter of apology to the membership, but we know that's only a dream. Crime analysts deserve better than clowns running the IACA.
Hot off the IACA press »»»» "We are sooooooo excited to announce that after another grueling selection season, the Chosen One has been decided. As per our usual opaque policies, we are keeping the announcement short, with no details, supporting stats or anything resembling transparency. Per IACA policy, you will accept what we say or face an ethics investigation." More election coverage here.
"This is simultaneously hilarious, infuriating and deplorable."
"I'm not sure if this site is brilliant or insane. Either way, I'm hooked."
"Almost as funny as an IACA Board meeting"
"I haven't been [redacted] in YEARS, and within a few minutes I was [redacted] twice!"
"Pathetic..." - That one dude on Reddit
